I'm a proud Veteran of the USAF and retired from an Automotive company in 2020 where I was a CMM programmer in the quality department.

Finally got some bench time. With the heat wave coming through and trying to get some new projects completed in the back yard it's been a struggle. The 36 Ford Coupe is now in primer.

I have drug this kit back out once again. I'm hoping I can get the body lines down the side to look presentable. I'm thinking matte black on the roof insert, rubber black on the running boards, and dark gunmetal on all the wheels, bumpers, headlight buckets, and grille. I got this build finished up yesterday and the new Splash Paint turned out pretty nice. I forgot to mention that the ole boy running this 57 Chevy is running a Muncie Rock Crusher 4-speed hooked to 4:11 gears in the rear end. Thanks for watching man. I gave it the appearance of a Ford engine by moving the distributor up front. I like having a Ford in a Ford.

I hear ya Ron. I'll do the best I can with the doors. Yeah, the center hinge on the hood was just to ugly to leave it.

Very cool kit!!! I know youll do something bad a$$ with it, you always do!! Saturday by me was similar day, hot and humid and the storm that ran thru overnight was wicked, had to fix some siding, tree branches, lawn chairs everywhere, blew the door off my shed. What a day!

I'm looking forward to seeing your direction on the Willy's Zippi! Mock up the doors with the interior tub and frame together with the body early on to see where you stand! Also, I raised my front screen with some blocks about 3/16" because I didn't like how the front wheels were lining up. I'm sure you will do fine. 😎👍
